Ludwig WFL 22/13/16" Vintage 1957 Drum Set - White Marine Pearl

Here is a classy set of vintage 50’s Ludwig WFL drums! Sized 14x22”, 9x13”, and 16x16”, these are all original and are in excellent player grade condition. As we see with many older white marine wraps, these drums have developed a naturally aged yellow hue to their wrap. Some modern wraps try to emulate it; here's the real thing! There are a couple areas where the wrap has some spider webbing cracks, but they are only on a couple panels of the 9x13" (pictured) and not visible from more than a couple feet away. No lifting whatsoever. These have 3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shells, their interiors and bearing edges are nice and very clean, and the tone controls are present and functional. The floor tom's push-button brackets function smoothly and provide a good hold on the legs, thankfully! The hoops and lugs on this set are original chrome over brass, and all of the chrome on this set is in nice condition with just a little room to polish up if desired; minimal pitting or rust with the exception of a name etched into one of the 16x16's hoops and the rail consolette, which has picked up a little more wear from continued use - both are pictured in our photoset.

This kit is currently fitted with a mixed bag of drum heads, which could be nice for seeing what you like on it, but could also just be a pain. We'd be happy to relieve you of that and outfit these with new heads for you, just let us know before checking out! The 14x22" bass drum is fitted with a Fiberskin Powerstroke on its resonant side and a clear ambassador batter. The 9x13" has a coated Emporer batter with a clear ambassador resonant side, and the 16x16" has an Aquarian American Vintage batter with a clear ambassador resonant side.
