Purchased on Reverb from Synth Temple a few years ago at a higher price. Used just a handful of times since then. Selling as I'm downsizing. Original post:
"This listing is for a Buchla Music Easel. I am listing it as excellent but it is nearly flawless. Been getting a ton of interest on this one
I bought 100 vactrols from Mark Verbos about 9 years ago for my Easel and sent them all to Alex when they were building it so he could install the best ones. This Easel does not use the low quality Xvive and/or Behringer vactrols they use in the 208c. Apparently this has become a conversation on different forums and groups in the last few days. Use the search function and you'll find many manufacturers refuse to use these newer vactrols because of the inconsistency of product. Make Noise being one of the players. Bugbrand as well. New vactrols are much more miss than hit. If the Behringer or Xvive quality was anywhere near a Perkins Elmar vactrol we would all have QMMG reissue modules and Tony Rolando would own an island. A nice island.
I did replace the Buchla touch source with the traditional Touch Activated Voltage Source 218 custom built by Buchla connoisseur weedywhizz. The Buchla 218e from the newer Easel touch source is known to have many issues both in functionality and cosmetically. Weedywhizz builds the most responsive Touch Activated Voltage Source out there from my experience. It is much closer to the original Buchla from the early 70s."
Comes with a handful of cables and shorting bars.
Rev 3-4 Buchla Easel, circa 2014.
