For sale is this fairly rare vintage 1984 Washburn Tour 24 BBR Shred Telecaster. These were produced in Japan from 1982-85. The guitar is in pretty spectacular shape for the age and is completely stock with the exception of a few items:
- The stock bridge was changed for a period correct late 80s Floyd Rose II (the original Washburn trem will come with the guitar.)
- The FRII is set to dive only and equipped with a red D-Tuna for fast drop tuning changes.
- The Washburn lock nut was replaced with a Floyd Rose R2 lock nut.
- Knobs are dice.
There are some signs of honest play and wear from the last 40 years of use with dings and scratches throughout. Most of this is on the back and I’ve tried to capture that in the photos (some exposed wood). Also, the screen print logo on the headstock has faded off orange which is a trademark of Washburns from this era/range.
