A small (16 ⅝") jumbo made by Steve Helgeson of Arcata CA for JJ Cale. Steve had an agreement with Cale that this guitar would revert back to Steve if JJ passed, which has happened. Now Steve recently passed and we are selling it for Steve's wife. It is an exceptional instrument in every way: incredible wildly figured Brazilian rosewood, and some of Steve's best pearlwork on a continuous pearl and abalone vine that runs through the peghead, fingerboard and rosette. The top, back, sides and peghead have an abalone border and backstrip. The ebony bridge is a carved eagle pattern. This is an explosive sounding guitar! Not at all muddy, just clear, powerful, rich and full tone.
