This set looks like new. There are no issues. The photos tell all. The DW Jazz Series™ were inspired by a 20th century form that is uniquely American. These shells feature a 3-ply Gumwood core for round tone that's suitable for bebop to pop in live and studio environments.

Hybrid Gum Shells

These 7-ply Hybrid Gum shells start with a 3-ply core of thick 1/20" Gumwood, which is sandwiched between Maple, Mahogany, or Cherry plies without reinforcement hoops. The result is a brighter tone with medium sustain.

Bearing Edge

These shells are cut with the same vintage-style, rounded “butter” bearing edge as the Classics Series with an outer round over and a 60-degree inner edge. This edge enhances the shell's range and resonance.

This kit comes with an extra 18" bass drum, with a riser assembly. You can create a really nice Jazz Bop configuration, as you can see in the photos.

Both bass drums are fitted with DW double tom mounts ahat are included. Floor tom legs are included. No other stands or cymbals are included.

We found this kit incredibly versatile, easily tunable, responsive, and plain beautiful. It's a joy to play, easy to pull any type of tone and sound out of each drum. The extra bass drum gives these drums an extra dimension of configurations you can utilize. I set up a Bop kit with the 18", 14" and 12", and it tunes right up to that bright, yet articulate feel for playing Jazz.

This kit can be used in various styles, from Pop, to Rock, Jazz and more, and will sound amazing for all!
