The FX Edge III-8 bridge combines fixed bridge sustain and double-locking tuning stability.

Can be found on several RG/RGA Prestige models like the RG2228 or the Meshuggah signature model M8M.

The Fixed Edge III bridge is a locking fixed bridge that is based on the Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge and Edge III tremolo bridges. It is also referred to as the FX Edge III.

The bridge is supported by three stud bolts: one mounted at the rear of the base plate in addition to the two main studs. These studs serve to lock the bridge in place and efficiently transmit string vibration into the body.

Mick Thomson's signature MTM2 is an example of model using the Fixed Edge III.

The standard version was developed for six-string guitars, but a version is also made for eight-string instruments. This model shares a similar design and is known as the FX Edge III-8 or Fixed Edge III-8.

Note:

Kindly find the proper luthier to instal floyd rose or up down bridge like this kind of bridge, based on my experience from using the most expensive to the cheapest when instaling one, even though you're buy the shopisticated and the most expensive Genuine Germany Floyd Rose but if you do not have any knowledge and technique to instal and set the tuning stability propely, you'll get same result in the end with some china rubbish floyd rose copycat quality, your strings gauge will be always tense and very far from 'free action' style's definition, and will be out of tone even you're lock it tightly, it would be always get out of tone suddenly after you bend it up / down, find the most proper luthier with reputable ability in instaling floyd rose bridge system in your town, cheers :)
