Beautiful vintage Holton-Clarke model cornet. Designed for the world renowned cornet virtuoso Herbert L. Clarke by the Frank Holton Co., this was one of the premier professional cornets of its day. Serial number 56331 dates this cornet to 1922. This horn is in remarkable condition with a beautiful polished raw brass finish. No sign of any significant damage and only a few minor dings and dimples. All slides pull free and valves are fast and smooth. This cornet is not marked as LP (low pitch) but does tend to play on the flat side. Comes with original case in great condition and a vintage Bach Corp. New York 7c cornet mouthpiece. A real gem to add to your collection.
