This Hondo Alien Bass is in very good condition, a funky little bass inspired by the 1980's vintage Kramer Duke. Everything works as it should, no scratchy pots or crackling input jack. There is some background noise when the pickups are in series but this is easily tamed with the tone control and/or a noise gate (see video). The 2 jazz pickups provide a lot of upper mid and treble, so this really plays nicely with drive and envelope effects like flanger, phaser, and synth pedals.
Cosmetically, the bass is in very good condition with signs of normal use (please see pix). There is some cracking in the finish around the neck, but this is just the finish--the aluminum neck is firmly bolted to the body. Weighs just under 7 pounds. Comes with strap.
