Up for sale is an unlabeled ”Wily” Wilkinowski 4/4 violin. The violin has been in storage for at least 25 years and actually has some wear; but no tare! Okay, there is one scratch over the grain of the top near the edge—-corresponding to the shoulder rest prong. this scratch is superficial and not the beginning of a crack. The violin can use a cleaning. The violin can use a seam gluing; showing that a very light glue wasused to prevent cracking. This is probably the first follow—up seam glue since the violin was built. This violin is guaranteed by me to be a genuine Wilkinowski. I have over the years owned 5 Wilkinowski violins. This particular Wilkinowski is head and shoulders the best preserved example I can recall seeing ever. This violin has all the character, wood selection, model and style of purfling and accompanying edgework . Most importantly the varnish is all there and has patina. A genuine collector’s violin as well; I believe the violin has its original sound post as well. As the pictures are part of the description, I guarantee thier accuracy and honest intent. As money is what it is. I welcome offers that welcome a sale. Good luck!
