This is lefty conversion a 1960s unbranded Kay archtop, it is birch laminate construction, the original faux finish is in great condition with the addition of a mouse hole and other gnaw marks. It is structurally pristeen with no repairs needed except a fresh neck reset. This guitar was taken care of and is in nice condition, and also tasty to a mouse.

The poplar neck is also in great condition- 25-3/4” with no trussrod, walnut fretboard and very large C carve. I gave it a fresh 12” radius, new Jescar 47104 frets, a new bone nut @ 1-11/16" and new Grover tuners. The neck is straight and now with low electric guitar-like action, it is easy and fun to play.

I installed one of my handwound Type13SC single coil “silver foil” pickups that gives an authentic classic clean, rich and full sound. Included are new linear pots, a new aluminum lightening bridge to replace the original straight wood bridge and the original trapeze- it intonates and stays in tune as it should.

These guitars were designed for sitting around and strumming in a different era a long time ago that had different musical demands. This is a beautiful guitar professionally rebuilt that you can plug in and strum right now- it plays great and will continue to play great for a long time.
