For sale is a circa-2004 Zon Sonus Custom with a beautiful figured redwood top, high gloss finish, graphite neck, truss rod and nut, and phenowood fingerboard. It has active 3-band EQ with Bartolini pickups and master volume, pickup blend, bass, treble and midrange controls. New today this configuration would cost over $6,200. Weight on my kitchen scale is 8 pounds 12 ounces, very lightweight for a five-string bass. Scale length is 34” with a 12” radius and 24 frets, nut width is 1.875”. Serial number 120404. It plays and sounds great. It’s in great condition for a 20-year old bass, no significant scratches or big dings, no fingerboard wear, no corrosion. There are some scratches on the pickguard near the bottom of the neck pickup from someone playing with a pick, and a couple of small dings on each side of the headstock, like where it may have hung in a music store. All the hardware is original. I love the ability to set it up with extremely low action and it stays that way, graphite necks are awesome. Bass ships in the original Zon gig bag.
