This Fly Deluxe was issued by Parker's artisan shop in March of 2012 and is a fine example of their brutal meticulousness in everything they did. A forensic toxicologist might be able to find some signs of being handled but precious little of actually being played. Spent its first years on the wall of a vintage shop. I',m preparing to move into a boat and I already have a few other Parkers so space limits demands some hard decisions. This is no ordinary slab guitar. It's a musical instrument capable of a variety of tones not possible on other products.
This issue has several improvements over earlier versions. Modified head so can hang on standard wall hangers. And point to point wiring so no need to search for the old ribbon cables in case of a problem. Not accepting returns. This is a Parker! If you don't know about them please do your research, or come see and play it. These guitars will eventually become icons of 21st Century vintage instruments and for totally justified reasons. With a little more vision this one could have been part of the Smithsonian Blue Guitar exhibition. But then Fusion Jazz/rock was too new then.
24 frets, 2nd Gen DiMarzio pups, very fast carbon glass fret board and low action, locking Sperzel tuners, Graphtech acoustic piezo's, Push-pull mag and blend controls and highly resonant popler body and Basswood neck reinforced with a .6 mm layer of carbon cloth. Sustain is unreal. Comes with original hard shell case with an alternate tremolo arm, extra spring for larger string gauges, and original stereo cable for driving two amps.
