Straight from our Carmine Appice Drum and Cymbals Collection. In great condition. This prototype cymbal is from a later phase of the development of what was to become Carmine's signature model "shade" cymbal. Carmine personally developed the idea of this cymbal after purchasing an Ikea lamp, which he loved the sound when he hit it with a stick.
This prototype made for Carmine by Sabian. This cymbal is one of the first shade prototypes. Carmine can be seen playing one of these Shade cymbals with Cactus in the video.
