Airline tube amplifier GHC 9028A 8"speaker, similar to Harmony, mid-60's, works

Cool little amp. This amp works currently, but needs looked at.

I bought this from GC online. My sister in NC picked it up, and it was months before i got a chance to try it. At that point, i couldn't send it back.

I believe there is something going on with the switch/volume pot. There isn't much sound until the high side of "5" and you don't have anything useful until "7". Dimed, it's loud enough for the house, but stays suspiciously clean. Remarkable amount of headroom for a <5w amp...

There's a fair amount of background hum, but that's not unusual for these little amps.

Inside, the amp looks untouched. No obvious repairs or faulty caps. It still has the two-prong cord, so I think it would be worth sending it to a tech for that.
I took a beating on this amp, so there's a limit to how much I can move on the price.
Last week, I sourced some NOS tubes (2 Westinghouse, 1 GE), which will save your tech some time, if you get it checked out.
I'm using the Reverb shipping calculator for the first time, so we'll see how that goes.
