Vintage Early 1980's Polytone Mini-Brute V 2x10 Combo Amp w/ Cover Included!

For your consideration is a Polytone Mini-Brute V combo amplifier with the original Polytone cover included. Specifically, this amp is the rare 2x10 option that seems to come up online fairly infrequently.

This amp is estimated to have been produced in the early 1980's as indicated by three factors. First, the black diamond pattern covering was produced between the late 1970's and early 1980's. Second, the foam grill cloth was a common feature of the early to mid 1980's models. Lastly, the red distortion knob stack on the volume was a common early 1980's feature.

According to information in online forums, the Mini-Brutes were among some of the most sought after amps for jazz musicians for their sound and convenience. Some noted that the early 1980's models were quote "the good ones" because they possessed a tone that was not replicated in previous or future amps.

The amp was used very lightly and only needed a slight clean up upon it's arrival to our store. All inputs and pots were tested and function as intended. There is a vintage odor present as the original owner did have the amp in storage and hadn't been used for a period of time. However, the amp sounds great and the distortion feature works nicely as well! The cover is also in nice shape aside from some creases from being folded over the years. But overall, it covers the amp nicely and has a pocket on the side for accessory items.
