The guitar was handcrafted by the Italian Luthier Bertè from Rovereto (Trento) in 1966. All solid and quality woods. Sturdy but lightweight. Shortscale.
As of now, the guitar does not work because the arch of the top is slightly reversed between the two ‘f’s, on one side (last pic). When you tune up the guitar, that part yields inwards because of the pressure on the bridge. It is almost imperceptible, but enough to prevent the strings to hover over the fretboard properly.
However, the guitar is very well built and it is in overall incredibly clean conditions. If you manage to enforce some resistance under the bridge, e.g. with a wooden stand, you may get a unique piece of Italian luthery with magnificent construction and great sound. Adding a PU would complete the job. I just have no time for this now.
Tuners and bridge are original. Please note that the tuners (probably made in Germany) are of the inline type (Tele/Strat). I can include a set of non-vintage 3 + 3 tuners if you like, and leave the originals there. (probably they are worth the whole price I ask).
Other pics will follow soon.
