Fender Stratocaster 60's Relic Build w/ AVRI 65 pickups- Nitro Olympic White over Nitro Candy Apple Red Relic

Hi, this is one of my favorite Fender 60's Nitro Relic Stratocaster builds I did a couple years ago, using both MIM and USA Fender parts. Here are the specs: The body is a Fender MIM Alder "special edition" in Candy apple Red Nitro lacquer, it was then shot over in Nitro Olympic White lacquer. It has gone through a cryogenic process to add tons of cracking, lacquer checking etc. and was also heavy relic'd accordingly. The neck started out as a Robert Cray model, (I chose this one for the nice rounded contour, rosewood board and 9.5 radius) It has been lacquered and relic'd as well. The feel in the hand is wonderful. and is an easy player. I wanted great pups for it and so used a brand new, "American Original 60's" loaded guard which features the pure vintage 65 pickups, wafer capacitor and cloth wiring. I splurged on a cherry red, tortoise shell, 100% Nitro-cellulose pickguard to compliment the finish of the body. PS.....Those guards are expensive! The bridge is an American Performer model which has the steel block and vintage/narrow spacing. Now your high and low E strings won't slip off the board near as easily as the vintage spacing. Of course, all of the plastics and metal parts have been aged to match. Sorry to go on and on here, but I just wanted to showcase all of the nice parts as well as the time and labor that went into the build. One important thing to note: My camera flash made a lot of the pics much too white looking, there are some shots that are more of a cream color, and that is the correct hue of the guitar. Just what you would expect out of an old, aged Olympic White finish. The guitar weighs in at just over 8lbs, and I have included a premium Fender G&G hardcase. I can only ship to the continental US. Anyway......a really nice Relic Strat build for not a huge amount of expense. Thanks for checking her out.
