This is the first big synth I ever bought.

It was $2800 at Long and McQuade

On 4th are in Vancouver. I was 18

In the very early 1980s and my dad got a

High-interest loan at the royal bank, which I paid

Off by playing in bars all over BC and Alberta.

It has a good road case.

This does not yet have gligli.

I traded it (1985) for a run-down prophet V from Frank Ludwig who demanded an extra $500 at the time of the transaction.

(I have since donated that P5 to the Music Center in Calgary where we were both inducted into the Canadian music hall of fame).

Anyway, I had to go on the road the next week, so I borrowed the money from my big brother Joe and paid it back with the $180 per week we made on the road.

Typical.

A few years ago, I was curious if this instrument still existed, so I contacted Frank and bought it back (at this price) ….so it has had two owners, both being keyboard players for the band Trooper.

I have another one as well, with gligli, which I would sell for $2300.

Thank you for reading this.

The synth is located downtown

Nanaimo.
