This 1964 Gibson EB-6 is owned by Jason Newsted.
Serial: 156974 This bass feels and plays great with a very nice round and punchy tone that allows you to play full chords, but also hold down some funky bass lines. While it does retain a lot of the bright reds on areas that don't normally see a lot of light (i.e. the back of the headstock, bottom of the guitar) The red has aged to an almost burnt orange color, which is typical for guitar of this age. There are some light scuffs and scratches throughout. It is missing the guard that screws into the body near the bridge pickup and into the pickguard, but otherwise, this is a wonderful example of this style bass.
