Weighing in at 7.1 lbs, this is a 100% original 1971 Fender Telecaster.
Serial # 313404
Neck date: April 71
Pots date: 34th week of '66
It appears that the guitar started its life in the Muscogee county school system in Columbus Georgia. It has a sticker on the back of the headstock and by the neck plate saying as much.
The body of the guitar has some cosmetic wear that can be seen in the pictures. I guess the kids were a little rough with it! It has very little fret wear, I would say they are at 95%. The guitar has been recently cleaned and setup. It came together nicely. In my experience, this era of Tele is generally brighter and ice-picky due to the 1 meg pots, but not this one. The pickups are balanced nicely and VERY useable.
I'm not sure that I would call it "rare", but the blond finish with the rosewood doesn't seem to be as common as the maple for 1971..
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
