Brand New Mystic Effects Company Wave Crusher Germanium Fuzz 2024 Guitar Effects Pedal - Red/White

Mystic Effects Company are making great pedals, and the Wave Crusher is no exception. Featuring Germanium transistors, this is a Muff styled fuzz - plenty of liquid sustain on tap - but with the added functionality of the Gate and Body pots.

At its extreme, the Gate pot leads to ripping velcro, however it really shines for me in the middle of its sweep, where it has thins the fuzz slightly, taking the pedal towards RAT territory.

To my ears, the Body pot brings in a combination of bass and low-mids, that just chunks everything up.

Between the Sustain, Tone, Gate and Body controls, this is a very tweakable fuzz indeed - all built around that fundamental Ge-goodness!
