Vintage 1970 Sears and Roebuck Japan Atomic Logo Stella 3/4 Size Student Parlor Guitar New Strings Pro Setup

A very rare 1970 Sears and Roebuck Model 306-12351100 Stella Style 3/4 Size Student Parlor Acoustic Guitar....

These guitars were made in Japan for Sears and featured the “Atomic” Logo design. It was actually just an S and R for Sears and Roebuck but everyone thought it looked “Space Age”…Great marketing!

This guitar is all original. It needed a good cleaning and new light gauge strings which we did. No cracks and only minor dings from there. Some Headstock breaks..probably from forcing out some larger tuner grommets. We cleaned the area up and put the proper floating tuner grommets on there. See pic 8. The guitar was not played a lot as evidenced by the lack of wear on the fret board. The frets look like they are unused. Plays nicely.

No serial numbers or stamps to date it exactly. These guitars were only made in Japan for a couple of years starting in 1970.

This guitar is in very nice shape. Nice bright shiny finish and the Logo looks great. If you had one of these back in the day, you will love this guitar. They are very cool and part of the historic Harmony Guitar History!
