Ludwig Classic Maple "Super 70's" Drum Set at Drum Center of Portsmouth Rounded Bearing Edges, White Interiors, 70s White Marine Pearl, Blue Olive Badges - Oh Yeah!

This Classic Maple drum set from Ludwig features 7-ply 100% maple shells with rounded bearing edges and white "Reso-Coat" interiors, finished in a 70s White Marine Pearl wrap made exclusively for Drum Center of Portsmouth. The sizes of this specially configured pack are 26x14, 14x10, 16x16, and 18x16. Drums only; no hardware/stands included. Floor toms include legs, and toms are fitted with Vibraband suspension mounts with Classic bracket. Bass drums do not include mounts or tom arms, but we have those available for purchase separately.

SHELL:

7-ply Cross-Laminated North American Maple.

Yet Classic Maple's 7-ply shell is crafted to respond to the player and environment quickly, making it adaptable to any playing style or preference.

BEARING EDGE:

Instead of the 45 degree bearing edge that is standard, we've had these edges with a round contour to give a bit more of a "classic slap" tone synonymous with the sounds of the 70's. 

RFST MOLDING: 

Classic Maple's standard 7-ply, 6mm shell is formulated for optimum resonance and tonality. Its center three-ply core panel (laminated in a horizontal/vertical/horizontal grain bond to a 2.4mm thickness), is inserted between inner and outer two-ply panels through our proprietary RFST molding process.

To increase stability through out the drum, all Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology. Using a process involving Ludwig's original bladder molds, R.F.S.T.'s unique bonding system – combined with a specialized, time-tested adhesive – cures each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell. This process is truly a principal ingredient in creating the "Ludwig Sound" in every shell Ludwig makes.
