Waldorf Microwave XT

This is a 10-voice Rev 3 Microwave XT Shadow, one of only 666 ever made.  I think only three Microwave XT Shadows have come up for sale in the past decade.  Two of them were in the last few months, and both went for about $2K.  But they were in somewhat better condition. 

This unit has about 1-3mm cosmetic corrosion along the edges of the front plate, as can be seen in the pictures.  I rescued it from a poor environment: now that it's in a decent studio environment it won't ever rust further, so I think the right thing is to sell it in its current form rather than attempt some kind of restoration.  The corrosion is only on the edges: the knob wells, screen, and internal electronics are in excellent condition.  The unit works very well.

The synth also has a wiggly volume knob (a loose potentiometer shaft)..  It's still working fine for now, so I have elected not to replace it, but I will provide a Waldorf-sourced potentiometer (plus a set of buttons and encoders which you probably will never need).  On this machine, replacing the pot is a trivial task for any competent technician.  The unit will also come with a brand new power supply sourced from Waldorf with both EU and US plug options, plus the original (EU 220V) power supply which has a flakey barrel, in case you wanted that.
