J basses are known for their versatility, and this factory-aged Custom Roscoe Classic J4 does a splendid job of providing the range of tones sought by players of all musical genres.
At just under 8 lbs (see slide 24), this lightweight bass is comfortable and streamlined, with a fast, slim neck.
Swamp Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard (1.5" nut width), 20 frets, Hipshot Vintage Bridge, Hipshot Ultralite Tuning Machines, a pair of passive, humbucking Aguilar bridge and neck pickups, and a trio of uncomplicated V-V-T knobs add up to a perfectly balanced electric bass – no neck dive – loaded for bear.
Bass will ship in a sturdy, well-padded TKL Vectra® Stealth™ Double Electric Guitar Impact-X™ Case. Lightly played at home and stored in its case – this bass is pristine.
As per the accompanying photos, except for the apparent factory aging, there are no other dings or scratches. The sale includes a certificate of authenticity signed by bass builder Keith Roscoe.
Although this bass looks to be painted white in the photos (its finish is officially dubbed “Olympic White Lacquer”), it is a creamy/light yellow. Please see slide #19 for a more accurate representation of color.
