1930's Leedy Broadway Parallel 6.5x14 Snare Drum
Heavy 2-piece brass shell with thick soldered bearing edges. At some point the original finish was cleanly removed leaving raw brass that has aged nicely and shows patina.
Overall in very good condition. Complete working order.
Hardware is all original and works very well. Strainer adjusts smoothly and stays engaged while playing. Original snares are in place. 2 wires have some bending. The nickel finish on the hardware is clean with some standard signs of use & age.
Original stamped hoops are in round and fit over the collar of a head nicely. Nickel is clean and there is some cosmetic denting around the flanges.
Shell takes modern heads nicely. Minimal surface wear is present around the drum along with some patina.
Structurally sound, complete, and ready to go.
