Hohner HTA-490 The Artist Reissue Electric Guitar
The HTA490 is a limited edition reissue of the Hohner HG490 1970's guitar Prince made famous. The maple body is sandwiched with a flame maple and tortoise shell binding that matches the custom pickguard. The maple neck and fretboard has a 25.5-inch scale that's identical to the original HG490 and is topped with Tusqâ„¢ AA Nubone nut and Wilkinsonâ„¢ mini 18:1 tuners. The neck has a compound radius--very slim taper at the nut, flattening out toward the body. Dunlopâ„¢ 6105 fret wire is used for the narrow, tall frets that allow for easy playability and good intonation.
Electronics begin with Teslaâ„¢ VR1 Vintage style pickups selected to approximate the tone of the original alnico pickups on the HG490. A standard Tele-style control panel with both master volume and tone knobs and three-way pickup selector is used.
I purchased this guitar used a few years ago. It has some very light playwear on the body - Barely visible but the light scratches on the lacquer finish prevent me from listing this guitar as mint!
Comes with hardshell case. U.S. Shipping only - via FedEx Ground. Please contact me with any questions. Check out the Youtube link which demonstrates the guitar when it first debuted in 2008.
