Beautiful Santa Cruz model H-13 Acoustic -- Left-handed
This instrument is gorgeous in terms of sound, playability, custom-craftsmanship and the components that were used in its build. Neck joins body at 13th fret. It traces its history to a Gibson "Nick Lucas Special" from the 1920's. It boasts rich tone with a full bottom thanks to its extra deep body. The positioning of the bridge because of the 13-fret neck provides sparkle and clarity you will likely not hear in a 14-fret model. See SC's website for extensive details and YouTube for lots of demos/reviews.
Select Adirondack spruce top, East Indian rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge, bone saddle and 1-3/4" nut. Hide glue construction. Sculpted Adirondack bracing. Custom appointments include open headstock with Waverly open-geared tuners, MOP inlaid Santa Cruz logo, Style 42 fretboard inlays, bound neck. Heritage Sunburst top. Includes original hard-shell Santa Cruz case by Ameritage.
I asked Santa Cruz to quote this exact guitar about a year ago. Brand new, they gave me a price of $7,240 with a 4-5 month build time. It may have changed since then.
This is in immaculate condition -- no dings, scratches or damage. Case is similarly in mint shape. Case candy includes an unopened $27 set of their Parabolic strings.
It's breaking my heart to part with this one, but it's far too exquisite an instrument for my skill and begs to be played by someone skilled-enough to get out all it has to give.
There's been a lot of press on this model and there's a ton of info and reviews. All very positive.
I attached a video by Carl Miner playing a similar-spec model.
(Please note that seemingly high shipping fee is due to "exorbitant" insurance fees carriers tack on due to its value. I will refund any excess based on where you live. I encourage a live, person-to-person hand-off. I'll meet you if you're within a reasonable distance from Atlanta for the price of gas.)
Final note... I'm still trying to locate the email with the date this was produced. Pretty sure it was between 2017 and 2019. Their website doesn't show serial numbers this recent.
