Cole Clark guitars are handmade with innovative design techniques and all solid tonewoods. The Triumph II is a wonderful piece, with understated beauty and elegance, that perfectly demonstrates their artistry and care when hand making these super-fine instruments. This full-sized dreadnought cutaway features a Bunya top for amazing beauty and tone. The soundhole rosette is a masterpiece of multi-piece wood inlay, forming a stunning rope pattern. The top sits on a body of Tasmanian Blackwood. This is an Australian tonewood of excellent voice and outstanding beauty. The top, sides, and back are bound together with natural woods, and the three-piece back is a work of art. The Triumph II is made using Cole Clark's method of internally carving the top and back for years of stability and rigidity. The guitar has a voice that is very open and natural, with woody colors and warm bottom end accompanied by a tight, articulate top. The super-fine satin finish augments the natural tone and lets the wood breath. The super-playable neck is Queensland Maple which is capped with Indian rosewood that is adorned with a truly unique and captivating wood strip inlays, and the rosewood bridge sits as match to the fretboard. The Triumph II is equipped with the Cole Clark Preamp system - featuring a face sensor, internal mic, and bridge pickup, plus a 3-band EQ - that captures and reproduces the acoustic voice with oustanding clarity and body.
