YOU WILL NEVER FIND A LOMO 19A9 THIS CLEAN AT THIS PRICE AGAIN. (I‘m underwater, but the studio has needs)

This mic model was loved by the late great Steve Albini, and used on Kurt Cobain's vocal on In Utero.

I purchased this particular 19A9 a few years ago from one of the top Lomo sellers in Russia. It is an exceptional condition LOMO 19A9 tube microphone fully loaded vintage set. They came across many 19A9 original mics and said that this is the best one they ever had.

The mic is in mint condition. It comes with the original LOMO 20B-35 tube power supply, also in exceptional condition, never touched inside (please see all pics). The Canare cables, luxury edition reissued wooden box, fuses, and spare valves are all included. It has a full set of documentation & frequency response chart (from 1969) that indicates the actual serial number of the mic and PSU. They are all in perfect working order and were fully checked by the number one Soviet mic expert from AEG Moscow before I purchased it.

This has literally been used only a handful of times since acquired and sounds stunning.

In the past it has been described as the holy grail of soviet/russian tube microphones! Made in USSR with a 33mm large gold plated diaphragm, this mic has a wide cardioid pattern and is very sensitive. The head has a large diaphragm M7 type cardioid capsule. The 19a9 is among the large diaphragm condenser legends of its time- U47, C12, 251, C37a, U67. The sound is often described as being between a C 12 and a Neumann U 47. It is excellent for vocals, and has a warm, smooth, and detailed sound. It's a great mic for everything: guitars, strings, symphony orchestra, drums, etc.
