Michael Dunn Mystery Pacific "Nauges"
The Mystery Pacific model by Michael Dunn is based on the original Gypsy guitars invented by Mario Maccaferri before he worked with Selmer. It has an interior resonator and a reflector in the soundhole. The principle here is that the smaller interior soundbox resonates in the treble range and the whole soundbox resonates in the bass range. The result is that as you play up the scale, the instrument gets louder and has an amazing long distance projection when standing in front of the guitar. The treble notes tend to dissipate over distance, and the reflector here will focus them straight out from the soundhole.
ALL the woods used on this guitar are solid, quarter sawn, super tight grained, premium, selected from Michael's incredible life long wood stash. The Red Cedar top is master grade with beautiful cross grain sinking. The Wenge is the tightest straightest grain Iv'e ever seen. The Kingwood is both rare and beautiful. This wood combo makes for an Incredibly loud acoustic guitar with very versatile tones. If you are playin' Django by the bridge or buttery smooth rhythm over the soundhole, this baby will do it all GREAT! You will be heard!

Michael's guitars are world class guitars, Gypsy style, classical, and some traditional steel string flattops. All have Fantastic sound, perfect playability, Top Notch materials all round. This guitar has the DELUXE package including the Interior Resonator and sound Reflector package. A very expesensive and difficult to build feature. My personal Favorite luthier. I've owned 2 of his Gypsy style beauties! I don't play gigs anymore, I'm retired so I'll be selling most of my guitars. LOVE this guitar. Only selling because I'm trying to pay off my house.. 100% original guitar and case. Please see all pic's. There are no cracks breaks repairs or touch ups anywhere. Two small scratches, one above the pickguard and one on the front lower rear bout (see pics) There are SUPER minor pick scuff marks around the pickguard which are two small to photograph. None of the scratches are through the finish. The guitar sold new for near double this listing price. Custom fit original case is included with Original spec sheet and details sheet. 640 mm Scale length. The blue marbled nut is 1-7/8. Sale is in USA and Canada only.
