The outboard spring reverb units of the '60s always had a little bit of the dry signal mixed in, but Catalinbread decided to give your Mix knob extra functionality. You can set it anywhere from 100% dry to 100% wet to find the perfect spot for the vibe you want to express — vintage units didn't offer this level of control. There's also a discrete preamp adjustable by the Volume knob, giving you a generous amount of clean boost when desired. Tone control for the reverb only can be set anywhere from full brightness to dark, warm Southern California depths. And the Dwell knob controls how hard the springs are being driven, so you can dial in anything from a subtle hollow sound to an intense, big-canyon reverb worthy of the name Topanga!
