This Gibson Melody Maker from 1965 is up for your consideration. One of the classics that is often overshadowed by the more iconic ES-335 or the titular SG, the Melody Maker was an instrument that lived in the hearts of many, and with this real 1965 model, it's easy to see why; it boasts a comfortably thick neck like many Gibsons, but without the chunky weight of the Les Paul, this 5lb 11oz guitar easily able to be played with a strap for hours on end without causing that sore shoulder, and giving a unique, bright tone with the solitary single-coil sitting in the bridge position.
Features:
- Made in USA
- Set-neck construction
- Wide 1 11/16" nut
- 22 frets
- Top-mounted jack
- Bridge single-coil
- 5lbs 11oz
-Original hang tags worth many hundreds on their own
It's got some nicks and scratches as shown, but it's still in very good condition for a 59 year-old instrument, and it comes in the original alligator skin chipboard case with a variety of expensive rare hangtags and paper, so get this while it's here!
