This Nakamichi 700 II Tri-Tracer 3 head cassette deck needs work. It was functional a few years ago. The belts were recently changed. The left channel is strong and the right channel is weak. The play and other buttons need to be held in to work and there is a scratch on the right door. The rear left corner of the walnut wood case has some damage. That's the negatives.

The Nakamichi 700 II Tri Tracer was created in response to the demand for a machine that could offer the essential performances of our highly acclaimed Model 1000 Tri Tracer, but at a more modest cost.

Since a compromise in performance was unthinkable, the alternative was to simplify the design and develop new construction techniques that would permit cost reductions while maintaining quality.

And Nakamichi engineers succeeded brilliantly. In almost every respect, the Nakamichi 700 II Tri Tracer equaled the performance of the 1000 Tri Tracer. Nor is this surprising, for the 700 II Tri Tracer employs the same advanced transport system and shares most of the features of the more expensive model.

I use UPS for shipping. All packaging product is new and usually includes a heavy duty box with the interior lined with Pink Panther foam. The product is wrapped in bubble wrap and peanuts may be used but inside a zip lock bag. I package the gear with the thought of myself buying the product and how I would expect to receive it at my door step.
