Beier 1.5 Steel 4x15 snare drum 2018 - Black

Up for sale is a USA made steel snare drum designed and made by James Beier. I am the second owner of this drum and have only used it on a few recording sessions. I was the drum tech for the previous owner and he had 2 of these snares. This was his back up snare on tour and was rarely used. It was always kept in a hard foam lined case on the road and well cared for by me.

The original top hoop was upgraded from a flange hoop to an S hoop by the touring drummer. I think it makes this snare sound even better and more focused, as well as giving it an incredible rim shot and cross stick sound. Drum also comes with remo drum heads (reverse black dot on top), used but still in great shape.

I hate to part with this drum, but I no longer tour or play much myself so I am thinning out my collection. I hope the new owner enjoys this drum as much as I have, and I got a personal blessing from the man himself, Mr. Jim Beier to sell this drum! These snare drums have been discontinued since June of 2021, so they will go up in value and get harder and harder to find.
