Harmony ¾ size parlor guitar early 1970’s
Great condition 12-fret-to-the-body ¾ size Chicago made guitar with Harmony brand logo on the headstock. Same ladder-braced construction as thousands of other similar Harmony-manufactured small all-birch guitars sold under dozens of different brands. This one is in great playable and cosmetic shape, with a few very small dings here and there. The standard floating bridge is a little bleached out and worn, and the string grooves have been notched out, I assume to lower the string height. The action is great up to the 12th fret, when it “frets out” on the lower strings. I’m pretty certain the fret buzz at fret 12 and above could be eliminated by replacing the bridge with an unaltered standard bridge, which can be found online. The plastic endpin and glued-on “batwing” shaped plastic pickguard are intact. These are great little guitars with an old-timey sound produced in large part by the ladder bracing and oversized bridge plate spanning the full width of the top on the interior of the body.
Does not come with a case but I can pack it with a hig bag for an additional $20.
