Up for sale is this beautiful Mosrite-style guitar from Hallmark. Bob Shade, the maker of these guitars, is a luthier who has been making excellent-quality Mosrite style guitars for some time, and this does not disappoint! This version sports a beautiful, German-carved body; a rich sunburst that extends up the back of the neck (see picture); blazing hot custom-wound pickups; a steel zero-fret; and one of the smoothest, best-sounding tremolos I've ever used! Only a handful of the original "Gospel" models were ever made, including one owned by Kurt Cobain, and this is a great guitar for surf, punk, vintage rock'n'roll and many other styles!
In near-mint condition, lightly played and used. The build and construction are great (they are designed in the US, built I believe in Indonesia) and Mr. Shade has even made some improvements; for example the bridge and tremolo work more smoothly, the frets are a bit larger, and the neck is a comfortable size, unlike the super-thin 60s necks. Comes with this wonderful, Gospel-branded faux-alligator case (pictured)!
