Vintage Rare 1949 Old Kraftsman 7 Seven Cowboys Parlor Guitar Neck Reset Pro SEtup Original Case

A very cool, and very RARE, 1949 Kay Made Old Kraftsman 7 Seven Cowboys, Cowboy Guitar. It is all original and includes the shown Original Softshell Case. A very nice case for this guitar! 

 The Old Kraftsman Guitars were made by Kay only from 1939 to the Fall of 1952. This one with its tailpiece would have been from 1945 thru 1949. No numbers inside to identify the exact year. We are calling it a 1949. We are showing a 1949 from my Cowboy Boy Guitar Book that looks just like it. See pic 15. Most of these guitars were sold thru the Speigel Catalogs. I was not even alive at this time ... but soon, I was yearning for one of these cool Cowboy Guitars!

If you have been following my Shop, you know by now I sell a lot of these cool Cowboy Stenciled Guitars. I have lots of them hanging on the wall of my shop and most are unplayable. This one however is not only playable, it has excellent playing action. Our Tech is an expert of setting these old timers up... No sore fingers with this one. He did a complete neck removal and reset on this old timer. He reinforced a couple back cracks as well as regluing the interior braces. The perfect campfire guitar or hanger on your wall. I just hope someone gets this one to play it. Its playable American History! Its one of the best players we have had in a long time. Great playing action on this one!!!

The guitar is the same size as a Stella. Parlor size. This model gets mentioned in the Cowboy Guitars Reference Book and the guitar gets its name from the 7 cowboys around the campfire. I show a page from our reference book regarding this model in pic 15.

The parts are all Kay made and original but the nut. Our Tech made a new bone nut for this one. The original was shot. It has the original Tuners, Kay tailpiece and bridge. The guitar has a 24 1/2 inch scale neck with a 1 ¾ inch wood nut. The bridge is offset to properly intonate the bass strings. The neck has a soft medium C shape that feels really nice. A pleasure to play this guitar!

It has some dings, scratches, and finish missing in spots. Fixed cracks on the back. Other than that, all honest wear. It looks cool and is structurally sound. Excellent shape for 1940's guitar...The Graphics are still perfect and the headstock Old Kraftsman Logo is still great.. Check those pics!

Check out that case. Vintage Cases are going for big bucks today...I was surprised to see this guitar with this case but we'll keep them together. The Accessory Box is still there. The case still has all of the original latches, hinges and handle. the handle was coming loose so our Tech relocated it slightly and re-riveted it. A great case for this awesome historic guitar!

Some lucky buyer is going to be really happy they got this cool Cowboy guitar. They don't come up often and sell quickly when they do. It is sold as-is no returns as it vintage and used.. Thanks for respecting that.
