Up for grabs is a 1996 Fender Custom Shop 1958 reissue Strat in surf green with a stunning birdseye maple neck and gold hardware.  This was part of a special limited run of 30 for Guitar Center back in 96.  This particular strat is number 26 out of 30.

Fender was producing really nice wood back in the mid-late 90s; this is from the Golden 95-99 Cunetto era, considered by many to be a very special period for Strats. To get this kind of unreal Birds-Eye figure today, you would have to spend big $$$ with a special-order Master Built Custom Shop instrument. This Strat is in Near Mint Condition, with only a few very minor scratches on the pick guard and back that you can only see in certain light  this guitar was played sparingly and obviously well-taken care of. No dings or nicks; really as close to Mint as you will find

This Strat weighs a comfortable 7 lbs 8 ounces and has a large 50's boat-shaped neck and finger board radius of 7.25".  The guitar is equipped with it's original 50's custom single coil Strat pick-ups.

Includes Gold Hardware, fat 50's Pickups, original Fender maroon tolex case, tremolo bar, Fender brochures, trem booklet, springs, and the COA from Oct 96 signed by John Page.  I'm also throwing in the original 1996 Fender Custom Shop Catalog and a 1996 Guitar Player magazine with a surf green maple neck Strat on the cover.

I love this guitar but need to sell one out of my collection as I promised my wife I would if I bought that Candy Apple Red 1965 Fender XII which I did.  So this one has to go!

Due to it's unique features as an early, limited run from the Fender Custom Shop, a signed COA by the original Fender Custom Shop Luthier John Page, it's beautiful Birdseye maple neck, gold hardware, and custom case, this makes this guitar a rarity and very collectable.  It also feels great to play and hold and sounds like a strat should.
