Designed for American servicemen during World War 1 and sold at local PX, these instruments are very hard to come by, with only a handful of them reaching the market, and even fewer in playable condition. The instrument dates to 1918-1921, manufactured in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The neck features mahogany with an unbound ebony fingerboard, sporting a signature V shaped profile. The headstock is the classic open-book Gibson design without any logo. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, with a 24.25” scale length and 1.75” nut width.

The frets appear to be original with a decent amount of life left in them. The body is constructed with a spruce top and maple back and sides and no binding. The top Is 13.5” wide and has a slight arch but not carved, while showing some serious play wear into the Sheraton brown finish.

The bridge and tailpiece are both original, and one of the tuner sides has been replaced. Will include a new, high quality, hardshell case.
