Slingerland Radio King 4-Piece Set, 24", 16", 13" with 14x5.5" Krupa Model Snare Drum 1940s - Marine Pearl

This 1940s Slingerland Radio King set is dripping with vibe!! It's far from a completely original collectors set. This set isn't destined for a collector's showroom. This set is itching to get back to the studio or stage and start making music again.

Some of the original hardware has been removed or replaced. There are original nickel hoops on the snare, rack tom and the top of the floor tom, the bottom is an unoriginal hoop. There are no bass drum spurs on the bass drum. Unoriginal Slingerland spur mounts have been added (backwards) and the original holes are visible. The bass drum is also missing the front bass drum hoop, T handles and claws and 1 lug. The holes from two original shell mounted cymbal mounts remain.

The single ply maple shelled "Krupa" Model" Radio King snare drum is all original except for the snare throw off and snares assembly. The throw off has been replaced with a more modern Pearl throw off. The holes from the original throw off remain.

The tom mount on the Rack Tom has been removed and the original holes remain.

The Radio King snare sounds incredible, really crisp and with an articulate feel, as can be heard in the video below.

The photos tell it like it is. This set is definitely a player set that really wants to be played.

Cymbals, stands and other hardware not included.
