Even more is explained in the video.
I'm a full time luthier in north TX. This is one of my personal projects that i worked on between client's work. I bought it as a trashed project on reverb several years ago because I really liked the faux wood finish and marquetry. The top, back and sides are all solid birch.
It had been poorly rebuilt before, so I took it totally apart and rebuilt nearly from scratch. I didn't try to make it look like a new guitar, my goal was to preserve its look and age, while making it sound and play great. I would charge more than this just for the work, but it was a labor of love and I'm letting it go, only because I have way too many personal guitars.
It has:
- new spruce x bracing on top
- new spruce back braces
- new side braces
- new maple bridgeplate
- new rosewood bridge
- new bone saddle and nut
- new sta-tite style tuners
- square neck reshaped to a chunky v
- carbon fiber neck rods
- frets leveled, crowned and polished
- cracks have been glued and cleated
-neck angle has been properly reset
- new maple top binding
-fresh set up
-touched up finish
Aside from being put back into playing shape, it's a great sounding guitar. It's 90years old but plays like a new guitar. Has tons of sustain, plenty of tone and lots of volume for a box it's size.
