FOR SALE is a RESTORED Marantz 6150
When purchased, this turntable was not spinning but had power. It was given a full restoration with new capacitors on the main boards and motor control board, along with a new old stock AN 620 IC chip on the motor board. The original IC failed causing the platter to not rotate but still maintain power. New feet were also installed as the originals had dry-rotted a way and it was given a general servicing that entails the following:
- Taking apart the tone arm base and rising mechanism.
- Removing the old oil
- Replacing the old oil with new oil and reassembling.
- Lubricating the motor
Cleaning the platter
- Disassembling, cleaning, and lubrication of the counterweight
- Placing new felt under the slider
- Accurate calibration of the speed
- Cleaning and adjustment of the potentiometers
- Adjustment of the magnetic break
- Balancing of the counterweight
- Proper calibration of the anti-skate mechanism
- Installation/adjustment of new/existing cartridge
- Cartridge alignment with use of a protractor and overhang gauge
