Salvador Castillo Classical SP/IR Estudio 2012

This is a hand-made luthier guitar built and signed by the master luthier himself. It sounds fantastic, with exceptional projection, resonance, and bloom. Shipped in new sturdy Cibeles case (cost $150 before shipping and tax).

Salvador Castillo is one of the highest regarded luthiers in Paracho, currently his lowest price guitars cost $3400 new (at guitarscastillo.com), and his guitars compare well to guitars priced significantly higher than that.

This classical guitar is a result of his advanced craftsmanship, with superb presence - it sounds full, powerful and rich.

The all-solid Indian Rosewood back and sides are made from a high quality set, darkly colored (see the photos where it appears darkest for a more accurate impression - lighter shots had different settings).

They're paired with a solid Spruce top that has a pleasantly warm golden honey hue.

It has a professionally repaired crack on the upper-right back (doesn't affect the sound at all) which is hard to capture with the camera.

Otherwise the guitar is in immaculate condition and looks gorgeous.

The neck is straight, action is like-new, and there is no fretwear (see photos). Tuners are good quality. 1st string height is 3mm, 6th is 3.5mm. Nut is 54mm wide, string spacing is 47mm at nut, 60mm at saddle. String height at bridge is 11mm.

It's a wonderful guitar, truly standout in it's price range, I'm reluctant to let it go but am in financial need and don't play it at the moment. I fell in love with it instantly upon hearing it, it deserves to be played and appreciated.
