This Univox Custom thinline hollowbody has survived the chaos of the last fifty years in amazing condition. The two original single coil pickups have covers that makes them look like P90s, but they have a round, naked, vintage single-coil tone.
The guitar is all original, and has only two flaws: an inch-long spot of weakness in the seam on the back (pictured) , and a crack in the binding in the center of the heel (so perfectly centered I thought it was by design until I looked at photos of others). It's so well-preserved that under the floating bridge there is still a yellowed fortune-cookie-size sticker that says "place bridge here" for best results.
I performed some maintenance on the electronics, including resoldering the twisted lead to the jack. I've set the action, truss rod, and intonation, and the thing is ready to bring some 60s soul to the twenty-first century.
