La Bella Olinto P4 2019 Black Limba

If I wasn’t fortunate to have two of these Ointo P’s I wouldn’t be parting with this one.  These are great boutique basses.  Hand shaped body and necks, with hand wound pickups using the same scatter wound technique in the 60’s to reproduce a very authentic vintage tone.  

The body is lovely-grained black limba with a natural tint coating. The maple neck and fretboard have a caramel vintage finish and unique black dot inlays with a fine copper ring around the perimeter. It is currently strung with LaBella flats and weighs 8 lb 15 oz pretty consistently on my scale.

I swapped the pickguard and control knobs for matching black pearloid.  The original gold anodized pickguard and silver control knobs (pictured) are included in the original hardshell case.  

PLEASE NOTE in the last two photos the player wear on the lower bout and the upper horn.  They are hard to notice unless out in the sunlight, and they appear to be just in the clear coat – so it might be possible to rub them out. The bridge and pickup cover have gone missing and is not shown or included.
