These are some of the most tonally rich and colorful cymbals possibly available. Crashes offer controlled explosion, are full-bodied with dark and dry feel, feature trashy overtones that cut through the mix with short decay. Rides produce musically rich tones, have low fundamental pitch, organic, and woody stick articulation, dark and complex overtones, end with smooth wash underneath and immediate decay, also give pleasant crash sound. Hats are more versatile, low fundamental pitched but with more shimmery stick definition, they open up with less dry sticking.
