Big River “Grace”

7lbs. 6oz.

Up for sale is a brand new Big River Thinline Grace that we spared no expense on. The body was a beautiful piece of Ash. We started by sanding back the body and popping up the grain for an open grained finish. Then we mixed up a batch of our Cayman Blue Nitro and laid down ten coats and left it to hang and do its thing.

The neck is a Dillion American Made Jazzmaster 4A Flame Maple with a bound Rosewood Fingerboard with White Pearl Block Inlays. It has a 9.5” radius, 21 medium jumbo nickel frets with hidden (no fret tangs) and rounded ends that have been crowned and polished, a comfy C shape, and a bone nut. We finished it with several coats of thin lacquer and buffed it out to a super smooth satin finish, a set of locking vintage style tuners and a Callaham Tree. This is an incredible neck that’s absolutely beautiful and just awesome to play.

For awesome stability and super smooth bending I went with a Trent Vibrato and matching 9.5“ radius bridge with Mustang style roller saddles. The Trent is made entirely from 303 Stainless Steel, has a razor sharp fulcrum plate that adds to its exceptional stability.

Under the Black pick guard with gold flecks from Decoboom, I decided to go with a traditional Jazzmaster harness using premium components. I used a Switchcraft 3way switch, two 250k CTS pots, a .047 Mullard Tropical Fish Cap, a John Suhr Treble Bleed, and a Puretone 4Prong Input. For the Rhythm circuit I used a Switchcraft Slider Switch, two 1meg Mini alpha pots, an .022 Cinnamon Drop Cap, and Gavitt Cloth Pushback Wire throughout. All of the cavities were lined with copper shielding tape as well.

For the Pickups I went with a set of Sunday Windery‘s “Woodies” Jazzmaster pick ups. Sunday winds some incredible sounding pick ups, and these absolutely do not disappoint! Here is what they had to say about their “Woodies”….

“The Woodies have a dynamic and responsive feel with sweet warm treble, woody midrange, and a bloom to the notes as they ring out. Very even output level neck to bridge.

Woody+ bridge has a little more kick by going from .187"x.471" to .195"x.471" magnets, and a little bump in the coil spec. Even stronger spooky and woody mids while remaining clear and detailed on top.
Lightly wax potted in an organic raw beeswax/paraffin blend to suppress feedback while retaining a lot of character.

Supplied with 12" vintage style 22awg Gavitt cloth covered bonded pushback wire.

Alnico 2, 42 awg plain enamel wire
