I’m a collector (not a shop) and have sold many limited-edition, hard-to-find Gibson USA, Gibson Custom Shop, and Fender American guitars on Reverb. Check out my seller history.

Collector’s item in excellent condition. It has small imperfections, which are photographed and mentioned below. It’s spent 95% of its time in its case, in my smoke-free home.

I am the original owner - the guitar was bought from the Guitar Center in Sherman Oaks, CA and picked for its beautiful flame maple top. The guitar has never been gigged. It has no buckle rash or checking.

The Wide Range pickups provide mellow, vintage-style output, reminiscent of Gibson’s Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups.

- Limited edition Fender Select series

- 2-piece carved flamed maple top

- Chambered alder body with belly scarf

- Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish

- Channel-bound, quartersawn birds-eye maple neck with hand-rubbed oil finish

- Block inlays on rosewood fingerboard

- 9.5” to 14” compound radius

- Thick C-shaped neck with access heel

- All parts are original; no modifications

- No cracks or repairs

- Wide Range humbucker pickups

- S-1 switch activates Frequency Mod

- Chrome hardware

- Stock locking strap buttons

- 25.5” scale length

- Comes with a Fender hardshell case (this is the case I was given when I bought the guitar from the Sherman Oaks Guitar Center)

- Weighs 8.15 lbs. (8 lbs. and 2.4 oz.)

I added pictures in artificial light to show swirls on the guitar, as well as how the color of the guitar changes under different conditions. Under well-lit circumstances, you get a lush red top (very first pictures are under artificial light and very last pictures under sunlight). Under dimmer conditions, the red is there but doesn’t quite pop - you get some plum undertones.

Back and top are super clean. There is a white-ish line on the binding in the inner part of the bass horn, a pencil-tip sized dent in the bottom of the guitar, and some hairline scratches in the bottom of the guitar that are very difficult to picture. The back has a dent that took of a bit of the finish. See pictures. Overall, very clean.

This is a parallel universe guitar before the parallel universe series was established. This is one of Fender’s various attempts to produce Les Paul-like guitars. Please let me know if you have any questions.
