I’m the second owner of this VVV having purchased it 25 years ago. This was an extremely rare Jackson Guitars custom shop release although not a “Custom Shop” model; typically inscribed on the headstock. Jackson Guitars never officially secured the rights from Vinnie to construct these, hence their rarity. This is a one-of-kind Vinnie Vincent (KISS, VVI) Jackson electric guitar that was built August 1988 in Ontario, CA. A true “Holy Grail” of Jackson Guitars. Serial number J4823. You may never see for sale another VVV in your lifetime, especially one of such provenance. This VVV is autographed by every member of the band “Vinnie Vincent Invasion” including Robert Fleischman (Journey, and first VVI vocalist) Mark Slaughter (VVI, Slaughter), Dana Strum, Bobby Rock, and Vinnie Vincent. This is a Rhoads double V design, nicknamed “The Shadow” and comes with its original hardshell custom Jackson case which is also autographed by Vinnie Vincent in pink marker and a sketch drawn by Vinnie of a VV model. I have a letter directly from Jackson Guitars stating the authenticity and serial number. Its pink/pearl blue/grey color, neck-through design, and dual humbucker design creates a truly sonic sound. It was custom ordered by a guitarist in the South Jersey area although this is not a custom shop model as described above. Jackson guitars discontinued making these decades ago having made just a few. If you are reading this, then you know how rare it is. They seldom come on the market and this is the only one in existence that is pink with a dual humbucker design. I have the original tremolo bar and all of the guitar is original, except for the strings. There is a minor chip in the paint on one of the wing tips from the original owner.
I have photos and video of Vinnie holding and signing this guitar in NJ at the Chiller Expo 7 years ago. It is truly a collector’s dream whether you are a guitarist, shred, a fan of VVI, KISS or rock music history.
“Whoa! Look at you! A real one, huh!? Wow! That’s beautiful. You know, they don’t have the rights to this.” - VV on first laying eyes on this VVV (youtube video below).
I will ship this 2-day FedEx to limit handling and transportation time. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. It will be insured for the value of the selling price. CONUS only. No international shipping.
This guitar and case have been stored in light, pet, smoke-free, and humidity controlled environment for the last 25 years of its life. It is in museum quality condition. There is some very minor oxidation on the bridge. The guitar was set up shortly before VV signed it and has not been played since. In fact, I have only played it a handful of times since I acquired it
